June 4th thru 6th, 2010.
Friday June 4: Cocktails, dinner, conversation (Dutch treat) at Buffalo's on US 41 in Acworth. 6 pm til closing or any time in between. Saturday June 5: Cooper Furnace Day Use Area, U.S. Hwy. 41; Cartersville, Ga., at the dam on Lake Allatoona. Outdoor day/evening of relaxing and visiting old friends in a beautiful, natural setting along the Etowah River. No crowded, rushed, loud banquet rooms. A meal will be provided and there will be a short program. Enjoy this beautiful waterfront venue with boat ramp, covered shelter, horseshoes, volleyball, bocce ball, hiking, historic Cooper’s Furnace, and more. Alcohol and Pets ARE allowed. Dress is casual. Noon til 9 p.m. Red Top Mountain Inn and Quality Inn are both very close for those wanting/needing to stay overnight.
We’re looking for volunteers to bring appetizers/desserts since we’ll be there all day. Sunday June 6: Golden Corral, Barrett Parkway, Kennesaw, GA.
